DJ BIG JACKS DROPS SNACKS, CRACKLES & BOPS: EPISODE 001

If you've ever vibed to a set by DJ Big Jacks, you know the man has an encyclopedic knowledge of music and an uncanny ability to read a crowd. Now, he's bringing that same energy to YouTube with his new series, Snacks, Crackles, & Bops! (SCB!). In his own words:

"I started the SCB! series because I wanted to play records I don’t normally get to play outside of being at home by myself. Plus, I wanna share my collection with you and hopefully introduce you to music that’s new to you and that you enjoy."

Episode 001: A Deep Dive into Modern Soul

"I thought to myself, I wish my copy of this incredible 7” by Brief Encounter wasn’t G- 😂 and in better condition, but imo that’s also part of what gives the music character when you play vinyl. You can feel the soul of the records through them dusty ass crackles."
